Our Foundations program is designed to safely and confidently on-ramp new members who are brand new to CrossFit. In this small-group or one-on-one setting, we focus on teaching the 9 foundational CrossFit movements with an emphasis on proper technique and safe movement patterns. Our goal is to help members build a strong foundation by learning how to move efficiently and scale exercises as needed.

We also take the time to understand each member’s personal goals, ensuring a tailored experience as they transition into our larger CrossFit classes. By the end of Foundations, members enter class feeling more prepared, less overwhelmed, and ready to train with confidence.

What to expect

At your Foundations class, you’ll receive expert coaching focused on mastering technique, maintaining proper form, and building sustainable, healthy fitness habits. Each one-hour session begins with a thorough warm-up to prepare your body, followed by hands-on instruction where you’ll learn and drill key CrossFit movements. These include barbell exercises, foundational gymnastics skills, and how to properly use cardio equipment like the rower, bike, or ski erg. The class wraps up with a short CrossFit-style workout (WOD) that puts your new skills into practice, followed by a guided cool-down to aid recovery and prevent injury.

Beyond just movement, Foundations is designed to educate you on the CrossFit methodology—emphasizing that this is more than just a workout, it’s a long-term lifestyle shift. You’ll learn how this training style improves your overall health and quality of life, helping you feel better, move more efficiently, and increase your energy and work capacity in and out of the gym. What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
